Used it for 30 minutes last night, hasn't turned on since.
Some web searches suggest reflashing it might fix the issue (it's a known problem) but that will have to wait for when I'm home as github is blocked by my employer and I need some tools from there to move the image over.
At least I was able to download the image off of archive . org.
Also: I'm learning, which is what I wanted out of this purchase.
... just not what I thought I'd be learning.
Next Friday (7th of June) at 6:00 AM UTC+2 there will be a planned maintenance reboot of an OVH server rack that will affect 3 app servers of Masto.host cloud.
Estimated downtime: 15 minutes

GameBender Lets Kids Hack Games To Learn Code
Hackable portable consoles
I don't have buyer's remorse for my PocketC.H.I.P. yet (let's let it arrive first, shall we?), but I did find two slightly more expensive but nicer looking alternatives.
With infinite funding I'd buy both, but alas I'll just enjoy the fact that they exist.
Perhaps if/when I finally break the CHIP beyond my ability to repair I'll get one of these.
Pocket C.H.I.P. Ordering Experience
Got an order confirmation email and a separate Thank You email from Gabriel. Pocket C.H.I.P. hasn't been shipped yet, though I'm told I'll get a different email to confirm when that happens.
If it doesn't go out this week I might have regrets about having it sent to my school address instead of my home address.
Once again, I have bought something to play with in the name of "for school," because I teach technology so it remotely relates to my curriculum.
